Before I bought my HD TV, I had a Tivo for my old TV. At that time, Tivo
didn't have an HD model, so I went with Comcast's Motorola DVR. While it
does work most of the time, it is basically a piece of junk with the usual
problems being commands queueing up, slow processing of commands, lousy TV
guide, poor recording options, etc. Now AT&T is hustling their TV service
(u-Verse) in our area. It also has a Motorola DVR, although a different
one
than Comcast. It allows four programs to be recorded at the same time,
broadcsts the signal throughout the house, and some other features that
look
good. What bothers me is that it is still a Motorola box. I am hoping that
some of you have had some experience with the Motorola box that AT&T is
using and can give me some input. They don't charge for the box so buying
Tivo for the AT&T service adds extra cost that I don't need right now. The
cost of u-Verse is about half of what Comcast is charging.
Thanks for your help.
Tom
