My Tivo (Series 2, I think) will no longer change the channels on my
Comcast Motorola cable box. Absolutely NO changes of any kind were
made, it just stopped working. The Tivo functions normally, trying to
record scheduled programs, but does not change to the proper channel.
I have tried rebooting both the Tivo and the cable box, to no avail.
Also, going through the "mating" routine in the Tivo menu, it is clear
that the Tivo knows it cannot change the channels. I cannot even
change channels manually using the Tivo remote.
Anyone have a similar problem? Did Comcast send out some kind of
firmware update to its cable boxes rendering them uncontrollable?
