Tuesday night makes a dummy out of my TiVo. Especially this one.
I have season p***** for House, The Mentalist, Dirty Jobs, and Good Eats.
New
only on the first two, all non-duplicates for the latter two. The
priority is
in the order I've listed them.
The times for tonight:
House - 20:00
Good Eats - 20:00
Good Eats - 20:30
The Mentalist - 21:00
Dirty Jobs - 21:00
Here's what the to-do list has:
19:59 - 21:02 - House
19:59 - 20:31 - Good Eats
20:31 - 20:59 - Good Eats
20:59 - 22:01 - The Mentalist
21:03 - 22:01 - Dirty Jobs
I have House end two minutes longer because at least one episode has run
past
the end of the recording. Everything else has a 1-minute pad (which,
incidentally, it'd be nice to have as the default option - why can't I
specify
default recording options, instead of having to do it manually each
time??).
So what's the problem? The problem is, that new episode of Dirty Jobs
airs
again three hours later. Why doesn't it schedule that, instead of
clipping?
When I disable clipping, and trick the TiVo into updating the to-do list,
it
schedules the 01:00 showing of Dirty Jobs, and removes the clipped Good
Eats
episode. It should be smart enough to do that with clipping enabled.
