DSR-905 Trouble

by Nelson Ogden <nelsonogden@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 29, 2007 at 07:16 AM

I just bought a new sidecar off ebay. I bought it from an individual
but it was new-in-box. I'm having trouble getting the receiver to
lock on to G0 or any other satellite. I tuned my analog receiver to
Spike's color bars on G0-19 and peaked my dish for best analog
picture. When I memorize G0 on the sidecar and tune to it, the
receiver finds a few digital carrier transponders. No matter what
channel I tune to, my signal bounces etween 50 and 110 and the quality
stays at 99! The satellite light never turns green. If I memorize
and tune to any other birds, the quality stays at 65535. Then if I go
back to G0, the quality stays at 1. I'm not getting a perfect analog
picture on G0-19 but it seems like I should get more digital quality
than 1. The 99 or 65535 quality seems especially odd, though. I have
never seen the sat led turn amber or green. I unhooked my c-band lnb
to make sure that I had the cables connected correctly and the signal
dropped to 10 and I lost my analog picture so I'm on the correct LNB.
Any ideas?
