Putting DSR-920 back in use

by Empty Field <Blank@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Nov 18, 2008 at 05:41 PM

I just plugged my DSR-920 back in after almost two years,
although on a much less extensive dish setup than I had
before. I have a Ku-band only dish, no C-band dish. It's
a 120Cm motorized dish.

Is there a Ku-band satellite I can put the DSR-920 on
that will refresh the channel map?

I noticed that it set it's own internal clock correctly,
so I must have hit something when tuning around looking
for free signals (which I never did find ANYTHING, analog
-OR- DCII).

I have the DSR-920 slaved to an FTA receiver used for
Thai TV. The dish is motor-driven and I've programmed
in all sats from AMC-6 (72 degrees) through Galaxy 27
(129 degrees). I don't have a circular polarized LNBF,
only linear. The dish-driving receiver is a BEC-6600+
FTA unit (Free to air only, non-hacked.)

I'm just trying to add some new free channels.

Thanks for any info, -EF
